Skagen Festival – 45 years of roots and folk music!

Skagen Festival is running from 30st of June to 3rd of July 2016, it is situated in Skagen in the very North of Denmark, and has been going on since 1971, being the countrys’ oldest roots and folk festival.

Skagen is the most Northern city in Denmark, it is a fisherman’s town and a tourist magnet, and it has about 8.000 inhabitants.

The festival features Danish and international artists and bands, in big halls, smaller hotels, the local church, and in open tents on the water front.

This years line-up includes local names like Allan Olsen, Signe Svendsen, Benny Holst, Dorthe Gerlach, Poul Krebs & Michael Falch, Mike Andersen, Souvenirs, Tørfisk, Fin Alfred, Nalle & His Crazy Evans, as well as international names as Johnny Logan & Friends (Ireland), Chris Jagger Kronies (England), Graasvold & Lyngve (Norway), Alan Taylor (England), Lisa Lystam Trio (Sweden), Melanie Dekker (Canada), Oysterband (England), Peter Abbott (England) The Harbour Folk Band (Norway), The Revellers (Scotland), and many more…
