The 28 year old ukulele player, Tobias Elof, from the Danish ukulele-double bass duo, “Elof & Wamberg”, has played his beloved ukulele for 20 years.

Right now he is on a four and a half month long solo tour in China and South Korea, starting with concerts in six cities in Taiwan, and continuing with about 15 large cities in the rest of China, just to finish of in South Korea.

Tobias Elof is giving quit a number of workshops, making PR videos and playing a lot of concerts in small jazz clubs, music schools, ukulele shops and in concert halls, all arranged and promoted by a major ukulele brand, aNueNue, well known in China.

Where ever he travels, he meets groups of ukulele fans with whom he communicates in a mix of English, and whatever Chinese he has been picking up on his way.

“It’s very different to be on tour in China, but it’s also very exciting, and the ukulele is extremely popular over here…”, says Tobias Elof from his hotel room in the Chinese city of Tianjin, and he continue: “The Chinese ukulele students as well as the audience, seems to love especially instrumental music arranged for ukulele, and that suits me well!”

Tobias Elof has been performing in quite a few countries during the last couple of years. He is going to celebrate Christmass in China, and he will be returning to Denmark around February the 15th 2017.
