The awarded Danish fiddler, Kristian Bugge, is joining forces with an old friend, when he leave Denmark to go to Rio de Janeiro, to perform quite a handfull of concerts around the city.

The classical percussionist and performer, Ronni Kot Wenzell, also from Denmark, lives in Rio de Janeiro, and the two gentlemen has been performing together, on and off, since they met a few years ago at the Carl Nielsen Academy, where both of them studied at the time.

The starting point of the duo’s repertoire, is folk music meets classical music: With the exciting and wide range of percussion instruments and the traditional and popular violin, these two musicians represent an energetic, and at the same time, entertaining composition of two musical genres.

Kristian Bugge says:

“I just can’t wait to play with Ronni. This is my forst time to Brazil, and I am very much looking forward to se how the audience receive our music. If they just like it half as well as we like to play it, everything will be just fine!”
